It is my pleasure to serve Blacksburg Primary School as the principal.  This will be my eighth year at BPS and I cannot wait to make it the best one yet!  It is of utmost importance that I build a trusting relationship with every stakeholder involved at our school.  Ultimately, teachers in the classroom will have the largest impact on student achievement at Blacksburg Primary.  The staff at BPS is an established group of educators who make it their goal to inspire all students who attend our fine school.  Your children are in great hands.  Teachers have been focused on teacher clarity and learning the most innovative ways to teach our state standards but also to teach the whole child life lessons that will create the best citizens possible. I am impressed by Blacksburg Primary’s community outreach, parent and family involvement, such as the Fall Festival, and the student support that is evident in the Blacksburg belief and mission statements. Our PTO is growing and helping our school yearly. Get involved and come help us make BPS the best. Safety is at the forefront of what we do and we pledge to keep everyone safe at BPS. Blacksburg Primary is clearly an educational facility of distinction. We will be sure to continue to grow and transform into a school that uses best practices to meet the educational needs of every student who attends.
